What this blog is about:

I love to tell travel stories and I know, over time, I would forget some of the wonderful and crazy things that happened; as well as some mistakes I have learnt from, so I decided to put them on paper.

My love of travel began when I was 6 and my mum received an exchange program in Bangkok. As a family of 4 we packed up to go live in the city while she studied.

My dad didn’t work while we were there and spent the days exploring Bangkok with me and my brother. We had a very limited budget which forced my dad to find cheap or free activities and for the most part we lived like locals.

We returned to Thailand after that trip a few years later and travelled around as tourists further cementing the country in our hearts. I’ve now returned to Thailand over 25 times.

My parents first trip was back packing Europe with 2 kids in tow when I was a toddler. I started my own travel journey in Thailand naturally a safe space for me and a relatively quick flight. Since than I have covered 29 countries, 5 continents and many more planned once this pesky COVID situation is over.

I have stayed in places that cost $2 a night (mildly traumatic) and some that cost $400+ a night (usually paid with frequent flyer points). I have eaten at fine dining restaurants and from food carts. I love a bargain and I love to find the finer things in life on the cheap. Especially when I travel.

I hope to share my tips, stories, adventures and of course failures I learnt from, to make your future travels a breeze.
